My personal conviction is \'\' right to food is the right to life\'\'. Every citizen of this world should have liberty to choose food according to their age, culture, taste and health priority. However, the recent move of globalisation has challenged this notion. In the global debate, food is also dealt as a merchadised goods. Therefore, systematic influence and capture in the global food system is becoming an important domain for the profit making life science companies. Right to Food as envisaged by the FAO has been constantly diluted through privatisation and creation of monopoly rights over the means of production and market chain. The century old practice of saving farm produces for the next generation use as practiced in the developing countries has been threatended by the IPR provision in the WTO, food dumping has been promoted in the name of food aid, and market access for developing countries specially for LDCs to the developed countrie... It is as well to reflect on wise advice sometimes heard, viz : \"Prior attention to human dignity facilitates the solution to intractable socio-economic problems.\" The basis of dignity is work and food, so the \"landing\" sought for in Geneva could still be found in the human heart if minds were focussed on adapting their views of the \"triangle\" through a vision of zero hunger along with the zero tariffs and zero subsidies.Money is a good servant but a bad master. The relationship of agriculture to services needs re-dimensioning so that what is due in justice is not offered in charity. The negative references in the draft text of the agreement to non-commercial agricultural export credits and guarantees, as well as the references to commodity agreements, could be inverted to positive references and the agricultural exporters and their private banking collaborators could be encouraged to develop derivative design of structured financial instruments to take account of currency and commodity...
